The winter that would never end; that’s how I’ll remember this spring. While we have occasional days of “normal” temperatures, we have had a very cold spring. Locations: Elk Island National Park

One of my favourite places to photograph is Elk Island National Park. It sure isn’t the largest of the Canadian national parks and it is largely ignored, both by the public and by the organization responsible for running and maintaining it. You won’t find a quaint little town at Elk Island like you will in Jasper or Riding Mountain, and there’s really very little vehicle access into the park.
